Mr. Trainer was a young pan who had a very pleasant per- nliity, quiet and unassuming in is manner but willing and ready at lli times to allilt anyone who was In need. He was a trusted and gompetent workman and no matter what kind of work he wascalled upon to do, his strict attention to guty combined with a willingness to please and satisfy won for him y great tributes from his dif- rent employers.

Albion, his parents, three brothers, Joseph and Lawrence on the homestead and Louis in Boston, Mass., and four sisters, Nellie, Mrs. Joseph Siuvin. Marion, Mrs. Llgouri Slav- in, both in Boston, Blanche, Mrs. Seymour Hughes, Dromore, and Viola, Mrl. Dennis Murnaghan. Donagh. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Slav- ln, Marlon and Louis came home to attend the funeral.

MRS. JOHN B. ANDREW

Seldom has the community of East Royalty and surrounding districts been so saddened as when It: was learned on Saturday morning. July 9th, that Mrs. John B. Andrew ‘had passed a/way- A1- though she had been in falling health for some time. yet she W85 aible to be up and around until just one week before her death. when she suffered a stroke 1mm which she never recovered.

she was the daughter of the late William Irving Thompson and his wife, Elizabeth Stewart of Dunstaffnage and was born there '14 years ago.

In her early life she united with

Church, and during her whole life remained one of its most. loy- al members. In all Church activi- ties, especlally the W. M. S. she took a very active part, and while her health permitted was always a. regular attendant at. all ser- vices.

She leaves to mourn, besides her husband, the following sons and daughters, viz: Frank W. of Gladstone, Mich, Col. Fred I. of Charlottetown, Lt. Col. John E. of Toronto Military Hospital, Wal- lace J. of East. Royalty. Mrs. Han- ford White of Gladstone, Mich, Mrs. Russel McDonald of Mon- tague and Mrs. John R. Paton of Trinidad. B.W.I. Also the follow- ing brother and sisters, viz: W. Wallace Thompson of Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba, Mrs. George Harper of Charlottetown and Mrs. John T. Ferguson o! Marshfleld.

The funeral took place on Mon-

day, July 11th, and was very large- ly attended. The service in Cen- tral United Church was conduct- ed by her Pastor, Rev. J. 1-i. Mac- Callum, who spoke words of com- fort from the text “He is not here, He Is risen" The hymns sung were favorites of the deceased "The Lord's My Shepherd", "Lead Kindly Light" and “Abide With Me" after which she was tenderly laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

The picturesque Church of Stella Maris, North Rustico, was the scene of a lovely Junc wedding. when Marion Loretta, daughter of Mrs. Michael Doyle and the late Michael Doyle, North Ruslico, bc- csme the bride of James Patrick Lea Reid. son of Mr. and Mis. Leander Reid. l-iopc River. The cemtnony was performed by the Rev. Eric Robin. the girls‘ choi: rendering appropriate hymns with Miss Audrey Gallant as organist.

Given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. John T. Doyle, Charlottetown, the bride was a. picture of girlish loveliness in her limit-length wed- ding gown of traditional white slipper satin. The flttcd basque bodice featured a net yoke with seed pearl rosettes. and self cov- ered buttons down the back. The long sleeves were gracefully point- ed over the wrists. Her finger-tip veil was held in place by a halo coronet oi‘ seed pearls. She carried an arm bouquet of pink roses with streamers.

Their htad- dresses and mitts were of match- ing net and their bouquets were also of mixed flowers.

Following the ceremony a. recap- lion was held at the home of th! bride which was attended by some 70 guests. close relatives ' of the bride and groom. Assisting in serving were Miss Frances Mac- Mlllan. Charlottetown; Misses Kay and Mary Reid, Hope River; Miss Helen McEachern. Mrs. Elizabeth 00x and Mrs. Louis Doyle, ‘Char- iottetown.
