I would like to reflect my own personal views regard- ing last week’s editorial.

First of all, you state that women blame men for ©

_ everything from global warming to natural disaster and that the general view is that men are “‘bad’’ and that women are ‘‘good’’. GET REAL - thisisa GROSS exaggeration on your part.

_ Secondly, there is no such thing as a typical feminist because the word feminism has a personal meaning for every women - and man for that matter. I do not consider myself a feminist with in the confines of your stereo typical definition. That is, 1 amnota | mean man hating fighter. However, I do believe strongly that there are no limits to what I can achieve regardless of my sex. This I will firmly believe until such a time that 1am proven wrong. Ofcourse I acknowledge obvious physical differences between men and women but barring these physical differences I will attempt to achieve what I believe I can achieves. Does this make me a horrid feminist?

Your whole article stereotyped the feminist movement and more importantly allwomen. My point is that this type of stereotypical behaviour constitutes half of the problem women face in the first place! Let me say that I did agree with a few of your points but that I was personally offended with the stereotype you used. There is no one accurate picture of the feminist movement - the accuracy lies in each individuals view of the situation.

the Campus Women Editor with regards to the article © she submitted called ‘‘If Men Had Babies!’’ Forthe — entire article, the author is picking onmen: ifthey — are the ones to have babies, perhapsthe world could ~ be developed into a better place, eg. the pills could be © invented sooner, the morality ofmen mightimprove ~ concerning abortions etc. HOW PATHETIC!

T applaud your editorial Mr. Editor, when you wrote ~ that there are certain feminists who are not giving the honourable meanings to their deeds. This particular — article is such an example of the ridicule that the author placed herself in.

I don’t understand why Miss Smith wanted to put this” article in. We should be thankful that there are pills — now to help women prevent the further development of their offsprings, and that I know ONLY some men support the anti-abortion movement.

Further more, the impression that I have of the the- Bill-Of-Rights-would-have-been which states:

Firstly, if the author understand those words, she will notice that they are contradicting themselves, and i secondly, I despise those women who are so into their © careers that their children are not first priority, thus 1 ‘*the Pursuit of Abortion’’.

A response to “If Men had Babies”’.

It is totally stupid to say that ABORTION would be universally legal if men could bear children. There

has nothing to do with subordinating women. Grow up and face the facts, what the writer was doing was beating around the bush. It sounds to me like she

wants abortion by demand.

And the put down about volunteers? Atleast the victim knows that the volunteer, receiving no pay, really cares about the victim.

That article is misleading and totally lacking in crec ‘ ibility. 4
