The Dominion authorities refused to build the bridge where it ought to be because of a difference of $70,000 or $80,000 im cost ; and for the ea.ne reason, thev may, if they choose, have it censiructed 300 vards, or 600 yards, or a mile, further up the river They are, apparently, at this moment, by the mouth .ftheir law agent in this Pro- vince—the Attorney «General, bringing preseure to bear upon Premier Farqu- hereon and striving to force him to sign ac agreement which he knews is not for the best imterests of the Province.
