Blanchard Hall with three of their re- cruits had planned to destroy Bernie l in basketball action last week. Blanchard's leader, Judy MacDonald was quoted as saying, "We needed a tough defense to avoid the fast breaks by supporters for Bernie 1 who showed, King and Bradley are asking for renewals on their pro contracts. The final score was a close one, Bernie l nipped Blanchard 23-19, with Hog King netting 19 points. (Hey George, got any more playing room?)

On the rougher side of women's basketball, Daze Students and Bernie 2 really battled'er out. Wimp Morrison and No Shorts Drake played strong for Daze Students, but unfortunately Red Jacked Doran, Bernie 2's biggest asset, made her add appearance during the game as she was working the control room at the same time. How about that Barb? You hire control room workers who are avid sports minds and Vince hires basketball refs who read Playboy Magazines and try to blow a whistle at the same time!

The latest action in broomball saw Bernie l whip Daze Students 3-0 in an earlier sched— uled game. Only a few short weeks before that date, these two teams met for the Christmas finals, where in overtime, Daze beat Bernie 1. How about that. They're even more successful that Phil Brown's Mean Machine. (They are also better looking too, Phil!)
