Student Union Event Review

Hard Rock Miners By Angela Matheson

Last Thursday night’s pubnight featuring Hard Rock Miners didn’t have the show up of students. More people left than came, but that didn’t break the spirits of the band. They displayed great class, energy, and charisma, but Thursday night was a little bit out of line for us students who are accustomed to be reved up by rap, hard rock, and the top ten singles. Variety is the spice of life, and we do need a change after all. Students who did attend enjoyed partying to a different beat.

Navy Seals

The title sounds like another war episode, but actually the movie wasn’t portraying that stereotyped idea. The actors Charlie Sheene, Mel Gibson, and Tom Cruise weve a great asset to the movie which was similiar t0 Top Gun in water. However this movie was more realistic than the load guys verses good guys version. The good guys were not untouchable, natural super heroes. The movie drew connections to the world’s problems today.

Exorcist TI

This fim portrayed great acting and dramatic effects. The atmosphere was creepy and the anticipations of actions between heaven and hell brought chills down the spine. At times the movie has episodes that are hard to connect and the viewer spends a great deal of time visualizing the incidents in his/her mind. The jumpy action kept

us all awake and it wasn’t that bad of a horror sequel.
