Railway, are in town to-day arranging for a visit for thirty or forty members of the Press Association who are exoected to arrive here about the 19th August and spend a diy or two on the Island,

Victor Lord of Klondyke, ia re gistered at the Driard Hotel, Victoria, B. C. Lord, or “Lucky Lord” as he is called, is on his way to Warwick, Que., where be will spend the winter with his aged par- ents. Hereturns from Klondyke with a big bag of nuggets, enough 10 keep him | for the rest of his days, even after giving his numerous friends a scarf pin each. Mr. Lord will return to Klondyke. His advice is: “Ifyou go take plenty of warm clothes aud supplies for one year.”

Sir Louis Davies, brother-in-law of the Rev. C. F. Wiggins of this place, is of Weleh descent and after his visiting in eompany with Sir Wilfrid Laurier, Mr. Gladstone at Hawarden,he went to Lanewet in South Wales. Newspapers report that every window in the little gray stone town gieeted him with his flag and device, there was a band, an illumination, speeches and winding off with the Welsh rendering of Land of my Fathers.— Sackville Post.

Mr. Charles Haystead, of the Josie Mille Dramatic Company, with several members of the company passed throngh the city yesterday afternoon going to New York. The company finished ite season at Parreboro Monday night, opening the new house there. Mr. Hayetead says the company has made money in the provinces. After s rest, they will reorganize and open on September 11th at Ottawa, playing four weeks there and go thence to Winnipeg. — St. John Telegraph.

Hore. Improvements.—Mr. P.S. Brown’? the hustling proprietor of the Revere Hotel, lias lately nade some alterations in that centrally-located ho-telry which cannot fail to add to the popularity of the house. The front of the building has been re-arranged and the cuange is decidedly for the better, To the left of the main entrance a new reception room has been opened. The office on the right has also been re-ar- ranged and improved. A new steel ceiling, beautifully ornamented, has been put in this room by Lowe Bros and the walis have been artistically papered and decorat- ed by Mr. Crossman. The electric light service has also been augmented. The rooms On the second floor have also had improvements nade to them, and altogether many most important changes have been made. The Kemains of Minnie Williams Thought to Have Been Found

Interest in tne story of H. H. Holmes, the multi-wurderer, hanged at Philadel- pula, is revived by asensational discovery near Momence, Kankakee county, Ill. There have been found a skull and bones, undoubtedly the remains of Minnie Wil- liames, the typewriter, one of the numerous victimsof Holmes. The remains of a log

The relatives of Minnie Williams were informed and a decent burial accorded the victim’s remains.
