Sorry, but until some dumb-asses learn to park I’ve decided to take the law into my own hands. I went out with a security worker, and with our combined dis- dain for bad parkers, we were able to vent a certain amount of anger. For this week.

I was asked by a security person to follow him on his rounds, and I spent a morning driving around campus and enforcing UPEI parking laws.

We visited all the lots and only ticketed cars blocking the roads, which by all rights could have been towed immediately. Then we came across the worst parking offender, who has over ten tickets to his or her name. The decision was made for it to be towed, and I happened to get some pictures.

The last thing a poor student needs is to get a tow-job plus a ticket. Yet I am amazed that after so many tickets, the owner of the truck did not realize that there are certain rules which are to be followed. I, and other students I talked to, were insulted by the owner of the truck, who felt he or she had the right to park whereever they wanted, simply because they have the means to pay for all the tickets.

So. One more instalment to go. Can I top these antics? Stay tuned, boys and girls, and watch how you park.
