i’ l IS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, in Council, has been pleased to make the following appointments, viz :

The Honorable David Kaye, to be a Commissioner for the recovery of Small Debts for the Court of Georgetown, in the place of James McFarlane, Esquire, resigned.

John McDonald, Esquire, (Captain). of Georgetown, and Robert Cameron, of Montague, Esquire, to be Trustees of the Grammar School in King’s County.

To be Justices of the Peace for Queen’s County, viz :— Mr. Theophilus Crosby, of Township No. 32; Mr. John McLean Robertson, of Cavendish, Township No. 23; Mr. Neil Campbell, of Nine Mile Creek, Township No. 65.

His Excellency has been also pleased to direct that the

name of James McFarlane, Esquire, be transferred from the.

Commission of the Peace for King’s County to the Commission of the Peace for Queen’s County.

SHERIFF’S SALES.

BY virtue of a writ of Fieri Facias to me directed, issued

out of Her Majesty’s Supreme Court of Judicature, at the suit of George Beer, George R. Beer, and Lemuel Lowdy Beer, against John Noble, an absent debtor, I have taken and seized as the pro- perty of the said John Noble, an absent debtor, All the right, title and leasehold interest of the said John Noble, in and to 44 acres of Land, with the buildings thereon, situate on Lot or Township Number Thirty-two (321, and bounded as follows, viz.: commencing at a stake fixed on the West side of a road leading from Tryon to Charlottetown, being the North-east boundary‘stake of a tract of Land leased to John Caldron, and from thence by a line running north, seventy-three degrees and thirty minutes west, the distance of eighty-seven chains and seventy-five links, to the division line of Lots Thirty-Two and 'l‘hirty-one; thence North, in said line,—five chains and thirteen links: thence South, seventythree degrees and thirty minutes east, to the said line of road; thence south-Westward. 1y along said road, to the stake or place of beginning, in Queen’s County, and I do hereby give public notice that I will, on SATUR- DAY, the 13th day of April, 1867, at 12 o‘clock, noon, at the Court House in Charlottetown, in the said County, set up and ell at public auction, the said property, or as much thereof as will satisfy the levy marked on the said writ, being £99 65. 3d., besides Sheriff’s fees and incidental expenses.

interest in and to 100 acres of Land, 3 little more or less, with the buildings and appurtenances thereon, situate on Township No. Thirty-Nine, in King’s County, bounded on the North by land in possession‘of James Walsh, on the West by land in possession of Donald McVarish, on the East by land in possession of James Mc- Varish, and on the South by farms fronting on the Back Farm Road, and I do hereby give public notice, that I will, on the 6th day of September, 1867, at the hour of 12 o'clock, noon, at the Old Court House in Georgetown, in the said County, set up and sell at public auction, the said property, or as much thereof: as will satisfy the levy marked on the said writ, being for the sum of One Hundred «and Three Pounds Sixteen Shillingsaud Eighlpence, debt and costs, with interest on One Hundred Pounds from 27th day of September, 1866, until paid, with 16s. 8d. for the said wri-t, besides Sheriff’s fees and all incidental expenses.

Y virtue of a Writ of Statute Execution to me directed, issued out of Her Majesty’s Supreme Court of Judicature, at the suit of John Knight, against Ronald Walker, I have taken and wind as the property of the said Ronald \Vulker, All his right, title and interest in and to one acre of land, a little more or less, situate at Annaudale, Grand River, Township No. Fifty-six, bounded on the North by land in possession of Archibald McDonald, on the South by Grand River, on the East by Grand River Wharf Road, and on the West by land in possession of \Villiam Norton, Esq, in King’s County, and I do hereby give public notice, that I will, on Friday. the 6th day of September next, at the hour of IQ o’clock, noon, at the Old Court House in Georgetown, in the said County. set up and sell, at public auction, the said property, or as much thereof as wiil satisfy the levy marked on the said writ, being for the sum of Ono Hundred and Thirty-Nine Pounds Six Shillings and Sixpenco, debt and costs, with interest on One Hundred Pounds from lst January, A.D. 1867, until paid, together with 163. 8d for the said writ, besides Sheriff’s fees and all incidental expenses.

at the COLONIAL BUILDING, in Charlottetown, under and by virtue of a Power of Sale contained in a certain Indenture of Mortgage. bearing date the Thirteenth day of June, A. D., l862, and made between John Egan, then of Charlottetown, in Prince Edward Is- land, Plasterer, and MargaretaEgan, his wife, of the one part, and the Hon. John Longworth, of the same place, Barrister-at-Law, of the other part: ALL that piece or parcel otland, situate on or form- ing part of Common Lot No Thirty-two,within the Royalty ofChar- lottetown, and described as Plot number Twelve, in a certain Deed of Conveyance of parts of said Common Lot, executed by Francis Longworth and Sarah Parker his wife, to the said John Longworth, hearing date the fifth day ofJuly, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six, and also on the plan annexed to said Deed, the said Plot being bounded on the North-westward by the St. Peter’s Road, and having a sufficient front thereon to give Forty-two feet on a right angle line, with parallel sidelines running south-eastwardly from said Road, the South-western side line being Eighty-eight feet in length, and the North-eastern ninety-nine feet, the said North- eastern line forming the side line of a new street recently opened from the St. Peter’s Road to Euston Street, together with all buildings, fences, improvements, rights and appurtenances to the said described piece of land belonging or appertaining.
