with a painful accident on Monday. He had beea standiug on a chair with a
cup in bis band when he fell to the floor and the cuz breaking, the sharp edge penetrated the eye ball cutting both lis. It is feared that the eye is permanently
injured.
New Lreernovere. — The Dominion Government is to bu:ld a large lighthouse on Flower Ledge,Nfli.on the south side of the Straits of Belle Isle. The light- house ie wo be 28 feet square, and te the top of the tower the height will be 4@ feet. There will be four rooms on eath of the two lower flats, and one in the tower. The lighthouse wii! be fitted with a large revolving light of the latest pattern, and the equipment throughout will le in keep- ing. It will be ready for occupation this fxil.
