The Methodists of the New Brunswick and P. E. Island Conference have talen a step in advance of their brethren of the other denominations. Not content with doing their utmost to secure the people against fire in the world to come, which is supposed to be the special business of all churches, they are requesting the General Conference to establish a new department of church work for the insurance of all church and parsonage buildings within the conference bounds. There does not seem to be any good reason why such a scheme of insurance should not be feasible
