Three days before last Mon- day's election. Premier Lesage of Quebec issued a virtual ulti- matum to Ottawa in his budget speech in which he demanded: new tax-sharing arrangementsi between the federal and provin- cial governments.

A source close to Liberal Leader Pearson said a revision of fiscal arrangements is not on the priority list of matters to be done in the first 60 days of a Liberal administration.

The informant added that it seems impossible that anything can be done before the next fed- eral budget. which might be brought before Parliament in June.
