Baron Max Von Kuehlen, scion of an ancient German family, but Jatterly acting as director to a travelling circus, was a> rested at Ludwigstadt yesterday morning. The charges are of tramping upon his sie- ter till she was almost dead; stabbing his wife and one of the hostlers employed with the circus; dashing his five children against the side of the travelling carriage, inflicting serious injuries upon al) of them; wrecking carriage used by himself and family for sleeping purposes, and stavbing five ponies to death. All these oftences had been committed because a horse which had been under his sister’s care had died en route. The Baron fought like a tiger in resistance of the police, and stabbed two gendarmes endeavoring to to take him in- to custody before he was finally secured.
