Law Society of Prince Edward Island Scholarship
The Law Society of Prince Edward Island Scholarship for 1998-1999 will be awarded in August, 1998, and we would appreciate _ r a an application from any students from Prince
ward Island who are in law school or expecting to be in the law school next year.

The nomination period for the Student Union General Elections for the 1998/99 academic year will run between March 10, 1998 and March 20, 1998. Allnominations must be submitted to the Student Union Office before 1:00 p.m. on March 20, 1998. The meeting for all candidates will be held at 4:00 p.m. on March 20,1998 in the Student Union office. All candidates must attend or send a repre- sentative with written notification. The campaign period for the General Elections will begin immediately following the adjournment ofthe candidates meeting on March 20, 1998, concluding a 12:01 a.m. March 30,1998, at which time all campaign materials must be removed by the candidates. Seniors: Graduation is approaching fast and the Class of 1998 needs a Valedictorian. Nomination forms for Class Valedictorian can be picked up at the Student Union Office. Closing date for all nominations is Friday, March 20, 1998. There will bea meeting forall nominees on Friday, March 20, 1998 at4:00 p.m. at the Barn. All nominees must attend or have a representative present at this information session. All nominees will be asked to do a speech on March 25, 1998 in the Pit at 12:30 p.m. The speech should be about three to five minutes long. Voting for Valedictorian will take place on March 30, 31, and April 1 and 2 in the Breezeway of the Robertson Library building.
Senior Class Awards Ceremony
The Awards ceremony will begin at 12:00 p.m., following rehearsal, on Friday, May 8 inthe Wyatt Dining Hall. This celebration is an opportunity for graduates to be honoured as well as to honour fellow graduates for academic and spirit accomplishments during their university life. The ceremony will be attended by the Deans of each department and other faculty members who join together to acknowledge the years of dedication and sleepless nights the graduates have endured to achieve this goal.
There are various awards from each faculty presented, allowing the possibilities of being a recipient notably high. It is encouraged that all graduates attend the awards ceremony as they may be receiving a prize, and to promote spirit for the Class of ‘98.
*Please note that these awards and recipients will be printed in the Convocation program but will not be verbally acknowledged at Convocation.
