She lived at the old homestead until the time of her marriage to Mr. Mo Leod, in February, 1874, remaining on the Island when they came west locating in Winni- peg where they remained a couple of years. In the summer of 1883, she, with her husband and family came west and settled in Prince Albert, ,where she has resided‘ever since, proving all the while a kind and willing companion and help— ‘ mate to her husband, who built up a suc- cesaful business here. public life, too, she always took the same keen interest, and always proved a wise confidant. She enjoyed robust until two or three years ago, when the ﬁrst symptoms of the fatal malady men— ifested itself, at ﬁrst at long intervals gradually shortening, until the ﬁnal at- tack some six weeks ago, which laid her on her death bed. The immediate cause of her death was vavular disease of the heart. causing severe hemorrhage.

Some few months ago, realizing her serious condition, the household fur- nishings were disposed of, and a trip to California, accompanied by Mr. Mc- Leod, for the benefit of her health, decided on. But fate willed it otherwise. Deceased always displayed— a kindly Christian disposition, and freely distrib- uted charity to the needy. She enjoyed alarge circle of acquaintances and was beloved by all with whom she came in contact. She was a life-long member of the Presbyterian church, in the works of which institution she always took a lead- ing part. She was also one of the, most active members of Rupert Council B T. of and many were her good ofﬁces in the cause _of temperance, to which site was devoted. Four children were born of the union, three boys and a girl. The boys, John, Fred. and Williegrew up to manhood, the youngest, Willie, attaining
