Birchwoocl High School

The feature of the closing pro- gram of the new Birchwood High School was the singing of the new school song by a chorus com— posed of the student body.

The exercises, chaired by Jud- ge C. St. Clair Trainor, heard ad- dresses from Msgr. P. McMahon, Superintendent of City Schools, K. A. Parker and Very Reverend Father Morea-u.

In his address to the school, Principal Leo F MatDonald ex- pressed h-is hope that, with the opening of the new school, “drop- out-s” would take a sharp de- crease in the years to come; es- pecially with facilities'now avail- able.

The musical part of the agenda was under the direction of Sister St. Patrick.
