Loypox, May 25.—The retreat of Botha’s forces from Rhenoster to the Vaal! serves tO convince the military men that the endof the waris rapidly drawing near. This is, without doubt, the final view, alltbough nobody connected with either the War Office or Headquarters Staff is willing to be quoted to that effect.

The date for the occupation of Pretoria, which is usually named by war officials, is June 15tb.

The embargo upon the news out of Pre. toria for the last 24 hours bas been ‘com plete.
