Wancx AT SEA !—'I‘he Brigantine Maitland,which arrived at Yarmouth, on the 8th January, reports that on the 25th ofDecember last in Latitude 39,40; Longitude 67,30; fell in with the wreck of the Brig Sterling, water gged and dismanted, Capt. Murphy boarded her and found every thing gone off deck, boats, batches, and most of her bulwarks, and under a shelter erected with boards across her bows he found four dead bodies, and part ofthe carcass of a dog.— The bodies appeared to have been dead for some days it being near night and the wind freshening, Capt. M. could make no further discovery. The Sterling, Captain Robbins, was owned by R. Clements, Esq., of Yarmouth, which port she left about the 5th of December last, for the Vt’est Indies.

There is much speculation in the French Papers ttpon the forthcoming opening ofthc Chambers, and alstl upon the movements of the Duke of Bordeaux, in London. They remark that none of the distinguished aristo- cracy of England are visiters at his Hotel in Belgrave Square. They even say that the Queen visited Sir Robert Peel, to avoid receiving him ofﬁcially, and so as not to give him an affront. The Duke was expected to leave London on the 15th Dec, a few days after which the Queen would return.
