In the Italian Chamber of Deputies yes- terday, the Premier said that the New Or- leaus affair was simply a legal question. The departure of the italian Minister from. Washington had been ordered as a protest; against the action of the United States ir. rejecting responsibility for the affair. Euro- pean sympathy was with Italy and he hoped for a friendly solution of the difficulty. Other members of the Chamber counselled moderation and and a speedy settlement.
