Lord Salisbury has definitely accepted the Premiership, and a meeting of the Con servative members of the House of Com mons has been called for to-day.
Lord Cadogan is mentioned as the proba- ble Secretary of State for the Colonies, and it Lord Randolph Churchill has accepted the position of Chancellor of the Exchequer and Leader of the Govern ment in the House of Commons.
Other forecasts name Lord Iddesleigh for Lord of the Privy Seal ; the \rgyll, liberal-tory-unionist, for President f the Council; the Marquis of Lorne, liberal-unionist, for Irish Viceroy. ames submitted are not so well authenti- cated.
