place. It is important to step up to the plate and give these people a renewed sense of hope. The fourth reason is that the Liberals are still clinging to a mar- ginal majority in the house. Any seat they gain or lose effects this position. In a parliamentary democracy anything less than a strong majority gives invisible backbenchers a powerful tool to make sure their interests and concerns are addressed. How does all this effect our view of our national government?? The Liberals will win three seats and possibly (although highly unlikely) a fourth. It is how much they win by that is important. If you see some tight races in Quebec and Ontario, you can be sure the other nine tenths of the iceberg is starting to surface...

He Changed the way... his sport was played. I want

to take a moment to pay tribute to the giant of a man known as Wilt Chamber- lain. I don’t really like basketball and usually I don’t delve into sports but I must make an exception here. Why?? Wilt has set many records but a few stick out in mind. The first is that he scored 100 points in a professional basketball game almost 40 years ago. Triple digits just boggle the mind and even with all the great players who have come along since ( Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson to name a few) no one has been able to touch or really come close to this record. Second is that he set the record of 55 rebounds in one game. Again, just a crazy number. His most impressive basket- ball accomplishment, in my mind, is that in over 14 years and 1300 games he never fouled out of a game in his career. This speaks volumes to me. In my mind Wilt should be re- membered as one who transformed the way his game was played (see Wayne Gretzky). But what final comment about Wilt The Stilt would be appro- priate without mentioning
