***Rookie centreman Mike Harding of the hockey team will miss the next five regular season games and the first game of playoffs as he received a six game suspension as the result of a match penalty he earned in last weekends game in Moncton. ***The ladies volleyball team pulled off another split last weekend, gaining a win over Memorial (15-11, 15-5, 15-5) in action at the Sports Centre. This win pulls the team out of the league’s final position, one win above Memorial and one behind Acadia (who the Pantherettes knocked off for their first win the weekend before). The P’s currently stand in eighth place in the conference.

*** Congratulations to Panther hockey captain K.J. White who was named captain of the MacAdam division all-stars in the first ever Tim Horton’s Cup which was played at the Metro Centre this past Friday. White was noted for his leadership skills, as he is a respected player by both his teammates and adversaries onand off the ice. Ironically this was White’s first foray into an All-star atmosphere, as he had never played in one

before.

Dale Conroy of Jessie’s Girls led his team with 25 points and 5 rebounds as the Girls suffered a loss to a high scoring Flyin’ Monkeys squad.

B Division

Gordie McKay of the experienced Alumni team showed the game of a wily veteran with a 16 point, 10 board, 2 assist evening as he lead the elder players against the Wolverines, but it wasn’t enough as they fell short of a victory. Chris Ferguson of the Wolverines lead his younger teammates to victory as his 12 points and 5 boards came up big to lead the Wolves to the win.
