Activities around the Barn have been in full swing the last week. I’d like to take the time to thank all who have helped make my job easier as I am going to be stepping down from my manager position. I would like to wish Cara Hedefine a successful job; seeing how she’s going to be the new manager of the Barn.

I had a fun 3 years at the Barn. Thanks to everyone who supported it. Also, the people who made my job fun and easy to do were: Suzanne Macpherson, Dianne Stevenson, Charles Ready, Mindy Poile, Finley Martin, Geoff Smith, Jen Daley, and all the staff at the Barn, so thanks to all of them. Remember, if you ever get hungry, try Father’s!

Thanks for all who turned up for trivia with Geoff on Wednesday following the basketball game. It was a great crowd. Don’t forget the Geoff will be hosting trivia again this Wednesday from 8:00 till 10:00 pm, as Jen is away. Be sure to drop in and win some great prizes. Also don’t forget movie pubs are every Friday at 2:00

pm. This week’s 1ge will be Apollo 13 and Malicious. Every Friday after the pub there are pool tournaments beginning at 6:00 pm. There are lots of prizes, come show off your ability.

Finley Martin and the boys want to jam on their guitars after trivia, so if you’re interested give him a call at 566-0670.

Hope to see everyone at the barn over the next few weeks. Upcoming events include the Scrooge Event on December 14. Tenderfoot Pass will be playing, cost is $5 at the door or $4 if you bring a non- parishable food item. This event has been an annual event which has rocked the Barn. Be sure to come and check it out. Also, on November 30 we will be drawing for the Moosehead give away. Be sure to get your name in on the draw for a chance to win up to $1000.

Mark your calender for December 31, as we will have Lugnuts ringing in the new year for the students of UPEI. There will be food and lots of giveaways. Cost is $6 in advance and $8 at the door. Be sure not to miss this rocking event that will bring the Barn down.

Everyone who has been losing sleep over the demise of the defunct Subterranean by Design Comics may now rest easier. They are back and better than ever under the name Subterranean Comics, with their first new issue published this No- vember. For the comically chal- lenged (you’d think I was referring to some clowns with such a politi- cally correct term), this comic art company is a locally produced and made-in-PEI product with the print- ing done in Cape Breton. Those familiar with Peter Murphy’s work will enjoy seeing the Clean-up Crew dealing with aliens and K’Dahver looking for his past life in this new issue. The artist that I am really
