Harp Lixes.—The Halifax Herald sys: A young man came to the city the other day and mace arrangements for his marriage to a young lady. An officer of the law heard of the man’s visit and arrested him. Theefficer told the man that he had at one time been convicted of selling liquor wi hout license, and unless he paid the $50 fine he would have to go to jail. It was hard luck, but the groom ciect handed over the money and Wednesday he entered into the holy bonds of matrimony.
