other belligerent; and the time hereby limited for the dc- parture of such ships-of-war respectively shall always, in case ot necessity, be extended so far as may be requisite for giving effect to this proviso, but not further or otherwise.

And it is further Her Majesty's pleasure that no ship of war of either belligerent shall hereafter be permitted, while in any port, roadstead, or waters subject to the territorial jurisdietion of Her Majesty, to take in any supplies. except provisions and such other things as may be requisite for the subsistence of her crew, and except So much coal only as may be sufficient to carry such Vessel to the nearest port. of her own country, or to some nearer destination, and no coal shall again be supplied to any such ship of war in the same or any other port, roadstcad, or waters, subject to the ter- ritorial jurisdiction of Her Majesty, without special permis~ sion, until after the expiration of three months from the time when such coal may have been last supplied to her within British waters as aforesaid.

And it is further Her Majesty’s pleasure that armed ships of' either party be interdicted lrom carrying prizes made by them into the ports, harbors, roadstcads, or waters of the United Kingdom, or any of Her Majesty’s colonies 01' pos— sessions abroad. .

And I do hereby command and enjoin all Iler Majesty’s loving subjects within this Island and the territories there- unto belonging, strictly to conform to the said rules and to glve their aid and assistance to all Ministers and Ofﬁcers of the Law in maintaining and carrying the Rules into effect.

TENDERS FOR CONVEYANCE OF “’INTER NAILS.

EALED TENDERS will be received by the Subscriber at the General Post Office, Charlottetown, until THURSDAY, the 16th AUGUST next, at the hour of 12 o’clock, noon, from persons willing to Contract tor the CONVEYANCE of the MAILS of this Island, twice or three times in each week, (at the option of the Postmaster General of this Island,) during the WINTER SEASON, for the ensuing three years, between CAPE TORMENTINE and CAPE TRAVERSE. The person contracting to be at all times provided with at least three suitable and safe ICE BOATS, and crews of four men to cross each trip upon such days as may be ap— pointed, it‘ the same be practicable. The outward Mail to be received at the Post Ofﬁce in the Settlement of Cape Traverse. and delivered at Cape Tormentincgland those coming to the Island to be received at Cape Tornlentine, and delivered in Charlottetown at the Post Otlice.

TENDERS will also be received at the same time from persons willing to convey MAILS twice or three times in each week, (at the option of the Postmaster General of this Islana,) between CAPE TORMENTINE and AMHERST. The person tendering to agree to have a crew at Amherst, to leave there with tho Mails for this Island upon such days as may be directed, and to attend to the instructions he may receive, from time to time, through the Postmaster at Amherst; and the Contractor also to be prepared to attend at Cape Tormentine to aid the Ice Couriers on their arrival and departure with the Mails.

As the duty thus required to be performed is of some importance, the Government will not be bound to accept the lowest Tender.

Suﬁicient security will be required, and the names of two responsible persons as surcties must be given in each Tender.

N PURSUANCE of a Decree, made in this Honorable Court, in this suit, hearing date the Sevonteenth day of March last, there will be sold by Public Auction, in the apartment occupied as the Court of Chancery, in the Colonial Building, Charlottetown, on SATURDAY, the Third day of’ NOVEMBER next, at the hour of Twelve o’clock. noon, ALL that piece of Land, situate in the Parish of Richmond, on Township Number Seventeen, comprised in a. certain Mortgage executed by the said William Ilcnry Ellis and Hannah Ellis. his wife, to one Henry Smith, bearing date‘the Twenty-fifth day of September, 1858, and by the said Henry Smith aSSIgned to William Dodd, the Complainant, the same being bounded as follows: commencing at a stake ﬁxed in the North side of the Main Summerside Road, twenty feet East of the division line between the lands now or lately the property of Jonathan Weather-be, Esq., and the lands of Mr. Robert Ellis; thence run- ning North thirty degrees East, two hundred and seventy feet; thence East thirty degrees South, two hundred and forty feet; thence South thirty degrees West, on to the said Summerside Road; thence West thirty deg-recs North along the said Road to the stake started lrom. Also a Water Lot, in front of the said Lot and side of Main Road, one hundred and thirty feet by forty feet, com— mencing from a stake in a line with the North line running thirty degrees East on the shore fronting Bedeque Bay. Together with all easements, rights and appurtenances to the said lands and premises respectively belonging or appertaining. Dated this 3lst day of July, Anno Domini, 1866.
