Known as the Spice Girl that isn’ totally annoy- ing, Melanie C recently recorded this CD while the group was on a break. Somewhat schizo- phrenic in nature, the opening track “Go!” and “Goin’ Down” prove to be rockers, “Suddenly Monday” is a happy-go-lucky piano track, while “I Turn To You” and “If That Were Me” are more techno-influenced. The lyrics prove to be a weak point, but the CD is enough to raise hopes that Mel will stay solo and keep with the rock songs — her strong point.
