1. Food Bank: Helping with loading, unload- ing foodstuffs, stocking shelves, boxing and bagging supplies. Open each day; help espe- cially required at Christmas and after Food Drives.

you are a frequent visitor to the Kelley uilding, you may have noticed in our display the ongoing saga of the missing Pink anther, belonging to Professor Ab Ferris. nkey went missing on Friday, October 28, hen Professor Ferris noticed a note in his fTice signed by the Pink Panther, indicating he
Panther was kidnapped. A ransom note left demanding $1 million in small, un- €d billsand a plane fuelled and ready to go Poland. The note was signed by the PLO-- ¢ Panther Liberation Organization, and de-
manded Mr. Ferris’s cooperation otherwise the Panther would be harmed.
An anonymous party contacted Mr. Ferris pointing the blame to members of his Advanced Financial Accounting class, although no names were specified. Professor Ferris’s response was: “‘As of this date, the high mark in AFA is 6%. See you all next year.’’ The seriousness of the incident is obviously escalat- ing.
Professor Ferris refused to meet the demands of the captors, and on Wednesday, November 2 received another letter adding a 95% AFA mark for the parties involved to their list of demands.
It appears that no harm has come to the Panther yet, as the kidnappers are providing snapshots of him on a daily basis. These snapshots include the Panther at the home of Mr. Ferris, in front of his Corvette, at the office of Deloitte and Touch, and at a popular local nightclub. The Panther may not wantto return, as he appears to be enjoying himself.
Investigators of the incident feel that the AFA class may not be involved, that this is actually a diversionary ploy. It is speculated that suspects include accounting wannabes J. Revell and T. Carroll, who are forcing the Panther to educate them on generally accepted accounting principles.
Details will be released as the events continue to unfold. Keep an eye on the display case in the Kelley Building for further develop- ments.
In other news, the Business Society will be sending a delegation to attend the 18th annual Queen’s Conference on the Business Environment Today (Q’BET) in Kingston, Ontario. This is the largest gathering of busi- ness societies in Canada, and is sure to provide the delegation with an abundance of informa- tion of value to both students and faculty here at the School of Business. The conference is being held November 9, 10, and 11. The delegation includes Reg Trainor, Marcelle McKarris, Chris Legge, Rebecca McQuaid, Greg Quinn, and Ab Ferris. Expenses to attend the conference are being paid individually by the delegates.
