Through the oo-operation of the Fisheries Council of Canada, fish- ery products of the Island will be shown at the International Trade Fair at Toronto during the period June I-l2. This will be the first occasion on which Island products of this nature have been displayed at the fair.

Another interesting announce- ment was also made, inddcatlng that samples of canned lobster and herring will be forwarded for showing at the Brussels Trade Fair and the Utrecht Internation- al Fair in the Netherlands.

Scouters' club Executive Meet

The Soouters Club executive met last Sunday afternoon in the ban- quet room of the Rendezvous to make plans for the forthcoming meeting of the club.

Guest speaker at the meeting was Doctor Fisher, District Scout Commissioner for Queen's, who outlined his plans for coming lec- tures to the club on civilian de- fence. He also suggested that a scout and Cub church parade and campfire be staged around June 2nd in honour of the Queen's cor- onation.

Discussion on these and other topics followed until the meeting's adjournment. The meeting was presided over by the club presi- dent, Don Holden.
