Neighborhood Clubs

The organization of Neighbor- hood Clubs known as N-‘I Cluhr has been successfully started at the local Y.M.C.A. "N-Y" ma" to a "Y" club operating in any given neighborhood. Ix-Y clubs are small in membership. usually consisting of eight to ten boys who live close together, and who play together in gangs. This de- velopment in ‘Y.M.C.A. Boys’ Work has become increasingly effective l.l'l all Y.M.C.A. Centres in the United States and Canada.

Club leaders meet with their N- Y Clubs at regular weekly ses- sions. Meetings are held at the _Y.M.C.A. building, although occas- ional outings as outdoor hockey competitions are conducted as a part of the program. Some clubs prefen to meet in shacks and other ‘gang’ meeting laces.
