We think it was a game we could have won...it could have gone either way but, once again the pass is our undoing...we made 26 first downs to Mount A's 15...on the ground we made 300 yards in 59 rushes (Dave Lidstone 120, Dave Lundrigan 80 and Larry Gallant 92) to their 94 in 36. Sad to relate,

We don't understand why this sport of soccer has so little spectator appeal to Maritimers when it is the favourite sport in so many other places. It can be a very exciting spectacle. we were amused at something we read recently about a dis— gruntled Maritime coach who commented that he'd like to have a loudspeaker system installed...not so that the players could be introduced to the fans but so that the fans could be introduced to the players...get out and give it a look.
