"After our luxurious week in London, we went back to Oxford 1, pick up our bikes. We stayed in . new hostel there which was a residence of one of Oxford's Col- lmg, The warden there was very mg to us. and because we were Canadians. he gave in extra priv- ,such as staying out after 10:30 at night. on the way out of oxford we visited Christ Church cgthedral. "One day as we were cycling furiously along. I car came to- ward us with two women leaning out of the windows waving and yelling at us. They stooped and we recognized at once that they were Australians whom we'd met as hitch-hikers at a hostel in Scotland. They had hired ll car and were touring from north to south every day, with no thought of distance. We were so glad to see each other that we were like long lost relatives.

"From Truro we made'our way down to Penzance. We had a funny experience there about losing a wallet. complaining to the police, and then finding it again. After much inquiring. we finally found a bed and breakfast place there. It was there that we learn- ed how hard-un the majority of the people in England really arc.

"The next morning we flew from from Heathrow airport to Paris. Our first glimpse of FIcIChnIElI were those to greet us at the plane. They were waving their arms and yelling to beat the hand. A bus took us from the airport to the Invaiides. on our way we passed the Eiffel Tower and the Arch of Triumph. We were thrill- ed to death and could hardly be- lieve we were really there. That afternoon we started out on foot to see the sights. We got lost when returning to our back street hotel. so we lounged in sidewalk cafes until we figured it out. Somers, presented a most sat- isfactory financial statement and informed the Court that only four of the forty congregations in the Presbytery had not yet paid their 1951 Presbytery dues. The Rcv'd. G. C. Webster drew the attention of the Court to the fact that the grave of the pioneer missionary. Rev. Peter Gordon. was still not in proper condition although much work had been done and paid for by the Presby- tery. Thc matter was referred to the Mount Stewart Kirk Session. Aunounccmcnt was made by Mr. Webster that Miss Joan Large and Miss Beryl Miller of Zion Church had applied for the course in training for Deaconess work. ' At the recent General Assembly the Principal of the Deaconess College stated that Prince Ed- ward Island had provided more candidates for the Deaconess Col- lege than any other Province in Canada.

The next stated mccting of the Court is appointed to take place in St. .lamcs' Church on Novem- ber 6th at eleven o'clock in the forenoon.
