Swiss women are the last in| Europe without the right to vote. | Suffragettes have been campaign- ing for political rights since early iu-the ,century, but the anti-suf- fregeties are something new.

“Our enemies were gaining ground, so we had to organize,” seys Mrs. Gertrud Haldimann, president of a group called the Federation of Swiss Women Against Female Suffrage.

Mrs. Haldimann, 52 - year-old doctor of pharmacology and mother of six children, has no membership statistics of her anti- suffragette movement.

“In some farts of the country we don't need members because all the women without exception ere on our side. They include professional women, housewives, all those who waiit, women to remain feminine fv" keeping out of polities.”

“I am so busy with this po litical activity now that my case stands as a living symbol of what happens when you allow women to get mixed up with politics. 1 have hardly any time left for my husband and my six children.”
