ested a snowmobile rally, more antics in the rink, a lounge in the afternoon, a hockey game against Acadia in the evening, a bash with Edward Bear in the gym, and a midnight movie.

Saturday, the Freshmen take over. They want to get started early with a pancake breakfast, followed by a

snowman building contest,

an outdoor football game,

a field day in the gym, sleigh rides and an after- noon pub. The freshman class will host the Carnival Ball Saturday evening at the confederation Center with music by Natural Affair. Afterwards, they will be hosting a get-together for. those who don't want to stop.

Sunday, the Juniors will wrap it all up. There is a hockey game and a basketball game in the afternoon. Sun— day event, Campus Cabaret «will be performing at the Confederation Center. This is a U.P.E.I. production which promises to wrap up Carnival in topénotch fash- ion.

You have probably found this a very sketchy outline of Carnival. This is so be— cause a lot of the partic— ulars have not been final— ized and a lot of badly needed bodies to put these ideas into effect just are not there. If you have any

further ideas or can help out, contact your class organization and keep an eye out for meetings. If everyone takes responsibil— ity for their "baby", this can really be the best Carnival we've ever had.

The dates for Carnival are Jan. 22 - 26. The att— itude of-the committee at this stage is "Why not?" so WHY NOT???

After the parade, a bash will take place in the gym With music by Sun Machine from Halifax. This will be followed by a square-dance in front of Main with a fiddler and caller on the balcony. ‘

The Seniors will carry the torch on Thursday with the day's activities getting underway around 11 A.M.

They plan some really crazy activities such as outhouse races, sleuCe racing, scav- enger hunts, broomball games, a greasEd pig on the ice,

and many other ridiculous rantics which are a part of

the garnival spirit. There.

The Student Council meeting last Sunday night, was very short, due to lack of things on the agenda, but

The Council also put through two other bills, one which extended the'term of office for councilors to

April 30 to coincide with that of the executives, and a bill that officially made the Senior Citzen Club a sub-organization of the STudent Union.

The Council is presently looking for people who are interested in working on . the .Senate sub-committee to review timetables, and will soon be seeking some- one to replace our Speaker, whose resignation is for December 31. A
