Witsoe Worxens.—The Young People’s Society of Willing Workers held a social on Thursday evening, the 9:h inst, at the resi dence of W. J Simpson, Bay View. The Irishmen have splendid weather for the celebration of the Festival of their Patron Saint.

And the cetebration ia ia the highest de- gree creditable.

At nine o'clock this morning the mem- bers of the Benevolent Irish Suciety and the Ancient Order of Hiberniaus began assembling at their respective meeting rooins. Three quarters of an hour later the last-named organization formed up in processicn in front ef their Hall, and headed by Gilbraith’s Band, marched to the Lyceum by way «f Grafton and Prince Streets. At the Lyceum they were met by the Benevolent Irish Society, and the two forming in line together, with the Ancient Order in the lead, marched to St. Dun- stan'’s Cathedral. The line of march was down Richmond to Quecn, slopg Queen to Dorchester, and up Durchester to the Cathedral, where High Mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Hogan, and an able sermon apprc priate to the cccasiun was preached
