Otrawa, Nov. 7. who has been nearly American system of piracy in Behring Sea, is here for the purpose of bringing his claims tothe notice of the Government. Capt. Warren is a native of Prince Edward Island, and has been for thirty years engaged in the fishery trade on the Pacitic coast. He is the owner of five of the seized sealers, and estimates his loss at $150,000. He states that four of tlie five vessels were steamers, and that the boilers are now useless owing to the neglect of the United Ststes ofticials, and it is therefore impossible to remove the vessels, even if they should be released.

Sexton said he was horritied by the reports of the barbarous treatment of O’Brien in jail. The Government tried to break ©’ Brien’s gallant spirit, and failing in that are determined to take his life. Pyne, member for West Waterford, has decided not to answer the summons served upon him under the Crimes Act.

Chamberlain Arrives. New York, Nov. 7.

Mr. Chamberlain arrived to-day. He was taken from the steamer at quarantine by the revenue cutter and landed at the Barge Office. He was received by Wm. Lane Bocker, British Consul-General and Wm. Smith, Deputy-Minister of Marine, of Canada. He would say nothing about home politics. He said he would not commit himself on the Irish question while He saw no reason why the Fisheries Question might not be speedily satisfactorily settled. He intends to spend a couple of months studying Ameri- can Institutions before returning home.

Wrecked at East Point.

The schooner ——————, owned by John Agnew, of Alberton, and commanded by Capt. William Ireland, loaded with potatoes and bound to Pictou, was wrecked on Saturday morning near East Point. She had come to anchor off the north side of the Point, but the wind suddenly changing an attempt was made to get her again under way, which proved unsuccessful, and she came bounding ashore, the crew saving their lives with difficulty. It is thought that she will prove a total wreck, which, along with the potatoes (28,000 bushels), is quite a serious loss at this season of the year.
