\ GENERAL CONVENTION of the

+k Order of the Sons of Temperance of

this Island wil! take place (D.V.) on Friday, June 27th. The Sons will assemble at the Town Hall, at half past Ten, and at Eleven, a.

M., will proceed, clothed in their appro- priate regalia, to St. Paul’s Church, where

a Sermon will be preached, suitable to

the occasion.

‘The attention of al] who take an inter~ est in the suppression of INTEMPERANCE, and the more general diffusion of Trm- PERANCE PRINCIPLES, i8 particularly calléd to this service, and their presence most earnestly and affectionately solicited.

At Two, v.m., the Sous will again as-

semble at the Town Hall, and from thence will proceed, accomoanied by their ex- cellent Band, to the beautiful Government House Grounds, the use of which has been most kindly granted for the occasion by His Excellency Sir Alexander Banner- man, where a ‘l’ea and other Refreshments will be provided.

The proceedings of the day will be en- livened by Instrumental and Vocal Music of the best and choicest description. Ad- dresses will be delivered ; and no pains will be spared to render the day one of real happiness and enjoyment.

Tickets of admission to the Tea, &c., can be had at the stores of Messrs. G. Haszard, H. Stamper, KE. L. Lydiard, at Apothecaries Hall, and on application to any of the Committee.
