But the Liberal Government paid moreattention to dairy~ loggin Ontario and Quebec than in the Lower Provinces. There they hare established cold storage on land aud steamers. The farmers there will now go more extensively into batter making and cheese will likely advance. Therefore onr farmers should stick io cheese. We are promised cold storage, but how long are these promises to remain unfulfilled W here the assistance promised by the Dominion Government last year§f? $890 was voted with a definite promive from the Liberal Government that cold storage would be established. How can they account for going back on that promise? He hoped the government would see that we get justice at least ic the shape of cold storage and direct steam CCM mubication.
There is a paragraph in the address which the mover aod seconder both over- looked. Itiwin regard to fruit growing. This ia a most important matter and should receive the attention of the Goversn- ment.
Speaking of pork packing he expressed the hope that the enterprise of Mr. Kaiten~ bury would be substantially rewarded. The ent«rprise was in the intereste of the province and it will, no doubt, prove a great benefit.

Porice Court.—This forenoon William Weatherbie appeared before His Honor charged with aesaulting James McCarvell with asling-shot. For the assault he was sentenced to one months imprisonment and for carrying atiangerous weapon a furtber sentence of two months imprisonment wes imposed. John Ring was arrested last evening for being drunk and breaking glass in the windows of H. C. Connolly’s saloon. He was this morning fined $8 or 40 days.
