"You as well as myself have come to hear our leader speak on the issues of the day,” ho said. after thanking the electors oLCharlotte- town and Royalty for honoring him on two occasions with election to the local Legislature. On behalf of Mr. Myers and himself Mr. McLure ex- pressed appreciation of the unanim- ous nomization to contest the pres- ent campaign as the Conservative standard IIGEICIS. The enthusiastic support so fa_r received is a prom- ising augury and indicates one of the greatest Conservative victories in the history of the County.

“We have an industry in this town of Manta-Elle which employs between 40 and 50 hands. I am assured by the president of this company that if the market was adequlfely pro- tected he could double hi; output. which necessarily would moan in- creI-sed employment for this com- niunity.”

The example of the profitable manner in which the United States has manipulated its tariff to suit its own producers was convincingly cited. Mr. Bennett's eloquent speech which followed. was in the main. similar to his speech at Sum- msrside and later at Charlottetown.
