Besides my involvement with the Social Ommittee, I have also been Vioe— - President of Bernadine Hall (78-7-9) , Campus Police mariner (78-80) and Sun columnist. As Vice-a. President, part of my ‘1 duties will involve the _ overseeing of the SUN and I believe my past experience with the newspaper will be a great asset to me. _
‘ Personally, I would like
to see a close working relationship between the Sun's editor and the Vice— President's office. This closeness will ensure that the students of UPEI continue to have a newspaper which will represent their views . to the fullest.

I 'm Tom Clow and I am running for. the position of Vice-President“ I have worked in the Student Union for the four years I have been at U.P.E.I.
I worked fllree years as
a bartender, one year as
a Campus Police, two years experience on the Sun and GM. I have also helped out in Fall Fest and
Winter Carnivals, either organizing or participating.
All these actions give
President, a position which I believe I am the best suited for.
I am hoping that if elected, I would like to try and make much better use of The Barn for social purposes and as well, I would like to see some of our major events switched . from the Barn to the gym.

big advantage in' knowing who would be right for what job.
As a manber of Council I would be supporting any motion which would be
» intent on bringing the Vet
College to UPEI. I believe the more faculties we have, the more people we will have attending our Univer— sity, and that can only help to strengthen our Student Union, as well as help our image as a major educational institution.
One of the main jobs of Vice—President is the area of Fall -Fest and Winter Carnival. Both of these have declined steadily for the last two years. I plan on changing this trend. Winter Carnival should be held in February, where tradition normally has placed it. This year it was held in January, two weeks after we arrived back franChrisunas, and the mood was not there. We were told it was done for the purpose of the Year- book, but if we can make one supplement later in the year, why not make it two and have Winter Carnival at its right time.
Another area I would like to look into is the possi- bility of setting up a games room. At Memorial Univer— sity in Newfoundland, the Student Union makes roughly
