The British Consul at Sfax reported a schooner flying the English flag coming to between Siax and (}henta. An officer from the French man-of-war Leopard boarded the schooner without permission and searched her on suspicion of carrying arms The officer found ao arms, but compelled the captain to give a guarantee in regard to the nature of his cargo, and afterwards proceeded with the schooner to Sfax.
