The price! of ‘oats in England this is : anticipated. to. commence. ; at 18s. to 18s. 6d. per quarter of 304 pounds. This; price .is, after all deductions. for ex- ponses are made, equivalent to 32 or 34 cents per-bushel here. We-hope our ex- porters will receive and ship a better quality’ of oats this than they shipped last’ year. It -is to’ be regretted. that so many'of last spring’s cargoes ‘were landed in the British and foréign markets: in such a heated; condition; as it will: have a bad affect;on buyers this fall.

In Boston, eggs, are.in good demand at a high price—24 and 25 cents per.dozen being obtained for Island stock. A decline in this price, however, is anticipated.

FISH.

A Boston circular of the 19th, says:— Owing entirely to the foggy weather, our shore fleet have’ done poorly the past week. Total receipts from the fleet’ at this and outports have been 11,471::bbls, for: the week, against’ 24,560 bbls. for correspond- \ing week a year’since. On account; of. the falling off in receipts and poor reports ‘from the fleet, our market is ruling firmer. ‘With a return of clear weather !'we may reasonably-look for an increase in ‘receipts, as the waters appear to be full of |mackerel. with a rope around his neck will generally confess to anything, no matter who is the real criminal, if by so doing he can escape being choked to death. Mr.-Delaine was thereupon taken to jail; he was afterwards bféought to trial and acquitted. He now sues members. of the: mob. for twenty-five thousand dollars damages. It is to be hioped he will succeed. Every member of alynching party is at heart:a murderer,
