New Regulation Goes Into Effect On March

OTTAWA. March 16- (OP) curtailment of retail deliveries in Canada was ordered today by James Stewart of Toronto, admin- istrator of services for the wartime prices and trade board.

The order was made public to- night in a board statement which sold the move signified the launch- ing of a. “campaign to conserve rubber and motorized equipment."

"After March 18 no retailer may make or cause to be made on be- rslf of either himself or a, customer more than one regular delivery a day over any particular route or in any particular area except with special authorization of the admin- istrator," the board said.

"Authority 1s also required for any tyne of special delivery,

“Delivery of daily newspapers. fuel including coal, coke, oil and wood, 1s exempted. as one deliver- ies to hospitals, railways and steam- ships or to the departments of na- tional defence or munitions and supply.

“Drugs or medicines prescribed by doctors or physicians may aio be delivered without special per- mission."

Mr. Stewart was quoted in the staiement as saying:-
