Under the direction of the Supervisor of Voca- tional Training, the Instructor, Barber (Voc.) shall plan, organize, develop. and teach courses in barbering to inmates engaged in vocational train- ing; the subjects to be taught will include cutting, trimming and singeing hair, shaving. shampooing, massage of e face, head and neck, hygiene. sani- tation, shop management, salesmanship, and re- lated matters; the inmates to be instructed will include those engaged in full-time or part-time training. or in gaining on-ihe-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Academic Education

Grade 12 or equivalent: matriculation from technical high school preferred.

Trade Background

Formal apprenticcship. or graduation from re- cognized school for harboring; at least five years journeyman status and some supervisory experi- ence including Shop management: preference for advanced technical training in the various aspects of the trade.

Trade Certification

Possession of a valid certificate of qualification in the barbering trade in area in which he will be employed.

Instructional & Supervisory Experience
