Tue Prixcess.—The steamer Princess arrived from Pictou at 5.15 this morning, bringing eigut,passengers and 68 bags of mail matter. She left Pictou at 1.10 this moroing. City or Guent.—The steamer City of Ghent arrived from Halifax about two o’clock yesterday atternoon and left on re- turn about midnight. Her outward cargo included 800 boxes of cheese, 100 tubs butter, 100 bales hay, 1000 bushels pota- toes, besides « large miscellaveous freight. The cheese is for Liverpool aad the pota- toes for Bermuda.

More Lamsas—Mr S H Jones shipped 90@ lambs from Summerside today, and on Monday he wil! ship about the same num- ber. This lot, it is stated, will complete a shipment of nine cars which will leave Point du Chene for Boston on Monday evening at 6 o’clock. Mr Jones has also ready for shipment to England three cars of very fiae lambs.

His lecture in Grace Church on Monday nigbt, on “The Manners, Customs, etc, of the Indiaas,” is something altogether different from his talks on mission work. The address was both interesting and instructive. To-morrow evening Rev Mr Crosby will oceupy the pulpit of the First MetLodist church and will speak of his 36 years’ work among the Indiang of British Columbia, The collection will be forthe benefit of the Missionary Society of the church.

Qver tHe Wuarnr—On Thursday after- noon, as several cattle purchased by Blake Bros., in Southport were being driven up Prince etreet, one of the younger animals becanie alarmed at the actions ofa boy ov stilts, and started torun. The others quickiy followed, and soon all were down the wharfagain. Here twoof the cattle jumped overboard and started to swim out the barbor. The captain of the dredge saw the occurrence and with several of his men put out in a boat after the frenzied animals, one of which they captured off Rosebank aud towed back totown. The tug Neleon put out after the other animal and overtook it near the harbor’s mouth and brought it back totown.
