Stewart: ‘ To the nourable the Speaker and Me crs of the Legislative Assembly, ‘ v Gentlemen: Your Committee to report on the Public Accounts for the year ending December 31st. A. D., 1934 beg to submit its report es follows: Your committee met and exam- ined the Securities held in the Sinkini; Fund of the Province and finds that the securities held in the Sinking Fund correspond with the list as shown by the Public Ac- counts for the year ending Decem- ber 31st. 1934. The total Ordinary Revenue for the year amounted to $1,385,171.31 while the total Ordinary Expendi- ture less the sum of $128,580 pro- vided for the Sinking Funds am- ounted to $1,528,344.31, making a

deficit in Ordinary Account of $142,567.00.

Your Committee also finds that the unpaid bills amounted to $23,- 110.48.

OTTAWA, April s-Sharp dif- ference of opinion developed today in the House committee on bank- ing when an effort was made tc strike a maximum interest rate insurance companies would be permitted to charge on loans ex- tended to policy holders with life insurance policies as security. No decision had been reached when the committee adjourned.
