A Bird-a—thon Anyone?

The finance committee for the Canadian Nature Conference is fledging and about to start fund raising programs, to help off- set some of the Conference costs.

Some of the ideas we have to date, are a Bird—a-thon in the spring, an a canvassing of local businesses for donations of goods and or money. If anyone is interested in helping or has other ideas on how to raise money, feel free to contact me at 887-2057.

Unusual Winter Birds Around The Dunk River

Winter on P.E.I. is not usually not associated with good bird watching; in that most of our birds migrate to warmer climates. But this winter, bird watching has provided me with a number of surprises.

Along with common winter birds such as Chickadees, Horned Larks and Snow Buntings, I have seen some unusual birds, as well as hearing about them, for the Dunk River area.
