The people of Little Sands and High Bank are renovating the Little Sands Public Hall. Last year it was moved back from the road; cement foundations were put undar- it; and a new floor. This year part of the interior has been repainted and some re- pairs made inside. The outside is being . painted and s new fence put around it and other improve- ments. Tbey have entered it in the Rural Beautification Contest.

We have had a great deal of wet weather which has delayed seeding and ' nting. some po- tatoes have been planted this week (June 14). There is, it is reported, some late grain to be sown yet in low wet fields. which due to the continued wet weather has not been able to be cultivat- ed. Some late gardens and tur- nips have still to be planted. The fields look very beautiful due to so much wet weather and the abundant growth of the grass and hay. .
