LONDON. Dec. 8 -r(Reuiers)- Eighteen chosen European Com- munist lcaders met secretly in P0- land five years ago and vowed to work as comrades in a fight against the "imperialist" West.

Today, only 10 of those 18 have survived execution, disgrace and death. Delegates who attended sub- sequent Cominform meetings have fared little better. i

The Comlnform was founded to link the Communist Parties of Rus- sia and her satellites with those of France and Italy. A policy state- ment; issued after the first meeting divided the world into two camps- progressive and imperialist.

Of the 18 who helped formulate that statement, two were expelled within nine months. Thue were the
