Of course, if you love your work, get off on writing essays, or are very serious about your toilet training—one fast number before you roll up your sleeves and pitch into it, livens up theaction, assists in the function of concentrated effort, and affects the process of observation subtly, so that time seems to disappear for long stretches in which every detail is as endlessly alive as you.

So what else is'news? Ex- perience has illuminated facts and details that research, no matter how well funded, has neglected or has forgotton'to look for. Rigid laboratory coh- ditions are only but one situation where cannibis con- sumption has been studied and results noted. Some validity might be justified by the use'of c‘ojective observers who take

confines the narrowness of the personal experience of the ob- server until all that is ac- curately observed are the physically observable facts of alteration due to the presence of a foreign substance in an apparently healthy blood stream. Yet every smoker knows that the experience of “token up" varies with the per- son, the place, and the space where your head is at. Some people, for example, don’t smoke imarijuanal because they don't, like the taste, find the effects untenable, or sim- ply because they don't feel like it at the moment. wa much different is a party where the above occurs - as a social situation compared to the results of a laboratory ex- periment? And these are but two possibilities from among the numberless multitude.

If it does, then there exists in profusion within this society, a mass of living dead; who are haunted by the source of their past: whom they are only they who know, care. Well known is the fact that 0.0. grass is better for 8.0. hippies. So many people‘ today use marijuana, that few parties are without an Ounce or two in free circulation. And even more decisively,‘ marijuana is finding a permanent place in the hearts and minds of people everywhere, and has become a welcome and sought after ad- dition to every well stocked

Many people e‘nj0y a pupeful of marijuana as an after dinner relaxant. Many people enjoy a joint while drivmg their automobiles. Many people en- joy the power-of the weed to pave the way into’easy per- sonality contact with other people, close neighbours. and dear friends. Many people' use cannibis during, before and af- ter, everything, anything—and sex. Many people smoke marijuana for no reason at all—because it is there to smoke—or because it can change laziness into a new world of creativity. Coffeeshops will start next Friday

In the past there have been many complaints about the lack of entertainment on weekends. With respect to this, a committee, net connected with the S.U.,has been formed to set up a co- ffee shop. These coffee shops will be held in the Barn with local talent as entertainment.
