THE METHODIST CONFERENCE,

Sr. Jouy, June 17. The name of Hedley D. Marr is added to the number of probationers for ordina- lob. Three are to be ordained on Monday night next, viz. Henry Pierce, A. B., Hedley B. Balderson, B.A, and Hedley D. Marr, A. B. The Rev. A. Lucas was given anothe- year to act as Secretary of the N. B. Sun- day School Association. The Bupernameraries for the year are as follows:—Henry Daniel, Henry Pope, Robert>W ilsow, William Tweedy, James A. Duke, Elwin Evans, Geo. B. Payson, Henry J. Clarke, F. W. Harrison, Joho Prince, S. The degree of B. Sc. was conferred upon Mr. C. M. V. Darveau, Levis, Quebec, and that of B. A.oa Mr. A. J. Donnelly, of Sturgeon. Joseph Murphy, of Sumwmer- side, H. Hughes and F. D. Blake, of Char- lo:tetown, and Chas. McCarthy received business diplomas.

The musical selections by the College orchestra were of the highest order, and were rendered in a maaner that added an- other to the many triumphs enjoyed b this band of accomplished musicians dur- ing the past year. In fact, they have established a reputation that will beqneath to their successors something worthy of maintaining.

Mr. Doyle’s prize essay was listened to much relished by the audience. Mr. Donnelly read an ex- | cellent valedictory, which clearly indi cated the thorough training imparted in St. Dunstan’s College.

The address by Rev. Father McDonald, of Summerside, was decidedly the feature ot the evening. He gave s short discourse in philosophy,with an easy transit‘onto mcral ity in education, He paid a glowing tribute to the graduates of St. Dunstan’s for the past fifty years, speaking in the plished by them. His rouaded periods, plause that followed are still ring'ng in our ears.

Complimentary addresses were deliv red by Lieutenant-Governor Howlan, Mayor

Dawson, Consul Kane, Judge Reddin, Bishop McDonald and Rev. Father Curran. The students of St. Dun-
