She was a member oi St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and while her health pennltied was a splendid worker in its organ- isations. and her kindly presence will be much missed by her friends there.

surviving are her husband, four daughters and three sons. Estella (Mrs. Harold Grant), lllvei-ton; Tressa (Mrs. Duncan Morrison), Rivorton; Ethel (Mrs. Russel aebbi Bridgewater: Ruth (Mrs. Wm Grant), New Glasgow; , Linacy, Ira .lr., Fraser's Mtn., Louis, New Glasgow. Three sis- ters, Mrs. Pope Bagnall, Hunter River, P.E.I., Mrs. Ollie Iiurlburt, Millinockett, Maine; Mrs. George Hughes, New Waterford; and one brother William Pound, Frederic- ton, P.E.I., and several grand- children and great grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service took place from the home of her son Louis, Munro Avenue, April 11, with her pastor. Rev. A. E. Morrison, oi- ilciating. His message taken from the Scripture brought comfort to the bereaved. The choir of the church song as a request oi the deceased the hymn "In The Gar- den" and "Abide With Me."

The pallbearers were foursom- ln-law. Duncan Morrison, Russel l-iebb, Harold Grant and William Grant, her grandson, Sydney Morrison and a nephew, Earl Hughes.

Interment was at Lorne Street Cemetery. Many beautiful floral offerings, cards and letters were received.

Twenty-seven members were present at the meeting of the Mary Miilar Auxiliary on May 5th in Trinity social hall. The de- votion and study were in charge of Mrs. Norman MacLeod who was assisted by Miss Florence Dollar, Mrs.,,Harry Craswell. Miss Mar- ion Martin and Mrs. Fulton Coi- rln. The portion from the study hook told of the work of the Un- ited Church among the Chinese and Japanese Canadians from 1941 to 1051.

Among the matters of business under discussion was the question of having the members of the Sunday School take the W. C. T. U. temperance course. Mrs. Cairns was appointed to form is commit- tee to take up the subject with the Sunday School teachers. There was some discussion about a pic- nic meeting to be held in the

summer. It was left until the June meeting to complete the plans. '
